Babies and Bling

What comes to mind when you think of babies and bling?

For me, I don't necessary think of little girls in blingy outfits all decked out...although I sure love seeing how cute they look. No for me (a mother of boys) I don't see many babies in bling unless its someone else's little cutie! This title for me, is more like bringing my babies around the bling. In other words, taking them to work with me in the store!

I have been running Buckaroo Boutique since 2007. Now back then I didn't have kids and all my BB goodies could fit into one small box! But in time BB grew and so did my household! Just recently I had our third child and as I was tagging inventory my supplies included pens, paper, tags, diapers and a binky! I guess it made me think of writing this blog!
I guess it's sort of funny how my boys are learning the importance of a purse or new jewelry...I guess one day some lucky woman will thank me for that! " mommy always has goodies for the ladies," as my 3 year old would put it!

This blog isn't necessarily about me teaching my boys about sparkly bling, although I would like to think some day their wives will appreciate me for that! No, it's expressing the fact that I get to do what I love and still care for my children! And at the same time teach some work ethic and other skills to them! As much as I love Buckaroo Boutique, my family always comes first! So it is a great blessing of mine that I can mix them both!

So if you ever stop by the store and see me in my space looking a little frazzled and coloring books and chocolate everywhere, just know I wouldn't have it any other way! They, along with my husband, are great business partners! ❤️
Me and my 3rd child pricing inventory...he is a month old here!

2014 Wrap up.....

2014 In The Books....

Buckaroo Boutique celebrated 7 years in 2014!

2014 was an amazing year!

We started the year out still doing home parties and creating our website! By April 2014, buckarooboutique.net was up and running! We were receiving orders from all over the US within our first month!

The rest of the Spring and into the summer were pretty mellow because I was busy helping and playing at the ranch!

In August, BB had our annual photo shoot at the ranch I live on. We were joined by Vault Denim jeans, Cali Coates!! Our lovely photographer was Jennifer Slusher!
We had 5 models in 2014:
Ashley
Kaley
Kaitlyn
Morgan
Teya
(All pictured below)

BB also started carrying the Ali Dee Collection in August!
(Some tops pictured above)

We spent the rest of August and most of September taking online orders and custom orders for our local customers! At the end of September, we received a phone call from a local store asking if we would be interesting in setting up shop there. By mid Oct, we were moved in!

We spent the rest of our 2014 year in Shabby Shanty, local Elko store and it has been an amazing adventure!

Buckaroo Boutique has really grown since 2008, I would have never dreamed BB would be in a local shop available to anyone! 2014 was a big year for BB! It never would have happened without the support of our AMAZING customers! BB has the best customer base out there! I personally have become friends with many of them!
THANK YOU ALL FOR BEING SUCH A BIG PART OF BB!

I have to give all the glory and praise to my Lord and savior Jesus Christ!

Thanks for reading!

Looking a lot like Christmas, In Nov?!

It seems crazy to me to be decorating and thinking about Christmas when we just had Halloween and Thanksgiving is a couple weeks away, but who is complaining I mean this is one of my favorite Holidays!

Now that Buckaroo Boutique is in a store (Still VERY excited about this) we decorate early for Christmas and that is FUN!!! Of course I can't just go buy decorations, I have to make them (crazy like that) so I thought I would share some of my new BB Christmas Décor!!

I saw this adorable post on Pinterest (what exactly did we all do before Pinterest?!) I thought this simple decoration was super cute in a store setting! All I did was spray foam balls with the snow spray and put in a cute basket with a sign (obviously the snow balls are not for sale)

This is MY FAVORITE...a lamp Chandelier! Just ripped off the shade, added lace and pearls! So fun to make! and It really added a great look to a corner display!

Corner display with my wire model (added tutu and the top she is wearing I designed and made)
MY FAVORITE CORNER!!!

Next, so simple just added some lights to my bigger table! Tied some burlap to add a little something! I will be doing some of these at home...love the way they turned out!

My little tree! This was fun because I found some really cute leopard print and pink stuff! On the other side I added some cute wrapped gifts for the window display! I wouldn't normally put these colors on my tree at home so its fun to do something out the box and girlie!

Lastly, the lovely tulle tree! I guess these were big in the 70's..they are so simple to make and pretty cute! Thinking of making a couple more to add in the window!

I don't claim to be a DIY Queen, I just really enjoy making my own things and its fun to share!!
Stop by the store, Shabby Shanty 178 Idaho St in Elko NV to see my décor along with all the other vendors and their amazing ideas!
We have a couple events happening this month too!
Nov 15 Open House with Raffles and sales!
Nov 28 Black Friday from 7-12! First 25 get goodie bags and there will be some great deals!

Thanks for reading my blog!

DIY Queen?!?!?!!?

As many of you know Buckaroo Boutique has started a new adventure! We have setup shop in a local antique shop, Shabby Shanty!
As we were preparing for our big move in day, I started working on my displays! I wanted to create a functional yet creative way to display all our BB goodies! I wanted to share a few with you!

The first is BB's Earrings Display. I found this suitcase at a yard sale a few years ago and had it sitting in storage! I ripped out all the suitcase stuff and ripped some scrap paper I found at my local JoAnns and used Mod Podge (One of the best inventions EVER!)Then my husband came home from moving cows and he said "man, that would be cool of you added wood with nails to hang the earrings" (I knew then why I married him)!!!
So I found a whitish piece of wood that came from one of the falling down homesteads around the ranch I live on! Grabbed my jigsaw and my hammer and got to work! Found the mirror at our local Family Dollar Store!! This is actually one of my favorite displays!

Another display that I redid ( I have been using this suitcase as my necklace display for a couple years now) I wanted to give it an update! With a little scrapbook paper, mod podge and wine corks...it was like new!

Another fun project was my horse shoe hangers! Created with old barn wood and horse shoes found around the barn! I made them with the intention of hanging anything really! Right now they are being used for headbands!

Rings are SOOO hard to diplay! I found this idea on Pinterest (How did we live without Pinterest?!) I found some baking dishes at my local thrift store and spray painted them! I found this wonderful wooden leg to something at our ranch dump, I loved the design and shape! I cut it in half...Not Easy...then I used E6000 glue to attach that and the dishes...boom great display for rings and whatever else!!
I had a blast making these displays for our grand opening in Shabby Shanty! I can't wait to add to them with other ideas!

Hunting and Chicks!

Any of you hunting chicks out there?!

Hunting season for some opened already this year and others are about to start their hunt! I am a proud supporter of hunting, especially chicks! FOR ME, its something I share with my husband, something I will share with my kids (they definitely have been in training already), its also such an amazing achievement when you are able to fill your tag!

I am definitely a hunting chick! I grew up that way...I mean when I was growing up, I myself didn't hunt. BUT all the men in my life did (Dad, brother, brothers friends, etc) So I went a lot! Then I met my husband, who is one of those live to hunt kind of guys! I took hunter safety when I was 23 and started putting in for tags! I don't claim to be a great mighty huntress...all I have learned has been from my husband for sure! If he had a hunting class for me...I think I would be passing with honors though!!

I have hunted Antelope (shot him when I was 7 months prego with my first born!!) Im CRAZY like that!

Then I drew a cow elk tag...

Last year I Finally drew my deer tag (only took me 5 years) WAY worth the wait!

BUCKAROO BOUTIQUE carries some fun items for all you hunting chicks out there!

We carry camo handbags, concealed handbags, camo wallets, gun jewelry and some fun tops! These can be found at Gun World and Archery in ELKO NV!

Thanks for reading!
